Re: Tuesday daily chat

Morning all.
This cold is kicking my butt. Feeling very yucky still.
Snow on the ground has melted a bit but our pond is still frozen over...looks overcast with a peek of sun here and there. May get some scattered rain or snow showers.
Just realized I have an appointment tomorrow and haven't followed up with the counselor to see if she was able to arrange transportation for me. Thought I had another week to think about it, good thing curiosity made me check my wallet today. Will need to talk to her and see if her aide can pick me up or not. A little odd having a stranger come to your house and drive you to your appointments (wonder what we'll talk about on the drive over?). If she can't get him to come get me I'll have to cancel though.
Hoping today I get my document in the mail. Yesterday the mail lady TOOK THE DAY OFF because of one inch of snow. Can you believe it? Sometimes it's not good to live in such a small town. That kind of thing wouldn't happen in the city.
Have the fire turned on and am making a fresh warm pot of coffee for OH. Feel like I should be in bed still but this cold is keeping me awake so might as well make myself useful.
Have a good day all.

Wow, Tink, one inch and she took the day off? Whatever happened to Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds, ? Even old George my mailman made it thru our 5 inches....although the streets had been plowed and my walk shoveled. I hope the envelope comes today, and that you get to and from the appointment safely. Take care!

We're going to Marietta, just outside Atlanta GA. OH is working - I am exploring. Gone With The Wind country!
It was 26C there yesterday, 10C forecast for Friday! East Coast climates, as my OH says with a sigh. It's like you get in Washington too, isn't it? Our weather is mad (4 seasons in one day and all that) but I don't think it is quite as eccentric as yours is sometimes

Re: Tuesday daily chat

Ah, memory refreshed...Marietta! My company had an office there; manager was a lovely person, also a cat lover. Yes, eccentric is the perfect word for the weather here: 9 degrees now and 21 predicted for afternoon, then back to 9 for the high tomorrow!
