Yes Eileen - however they are very expensive and not completely foolproof either! I have one and on occasion, an unauthorised cat has "followed" either Kizzy or Pip through at speed. However IMO they are worth the extra money generally. I doubt if they are strong enough to be able to stand up to a sustained attack. |

Is Tolly a big cat, CS? Leia (14 pounds) once forced the porch door open which I had just pulled shut, not locked, in pursuit of Onyx. I never dreamed she could do that. |

Tolly is what the vet describes as 'rangy'- not a big solid tom cat but more a lanky teenager. The cat flap locks by plastic 'lugs' and he knocked the door so it slipped over the lugs- luckily the door must have given slightly so it didn't break. Thankfully last night was much calmer! |
