The problem with the quiz is that I am out a lot of evenings, taking the girls to various activites. Those evenings I'm not, I'm usually too shattered to do much. I do like taking part in the word games and such though |

I have just read this and am part of the problem not the solution. Life is busy and sometimes posting on the daily "been to work home now having a sleep" seems like repeat TV programmes and oh so boring. But off to work now. |

I'm kinda the same as Kazz, life and work are busy but find me a sparring partner and I may be around more TBH the forum has been on the cusp of dying for some time, Dear Eileen pretty much kept it going and has been such a huge and irreplacable loss. That said, I'm pretty sure we will get new members at some time or other, whether they stick around is another matter. I'm sure that when I joined up, the forum was pretty much quiet then too other than several regulars. |

I'm sure the forum won't die, it will change and evolve from time to time. As i said before a bit of a shake up does no harm. We have to accept that people want forums for different reasons, some like to just use it when they have a problem, others to socialise most days, some people like games and quizzes and others just like to lurk. All reasons are ok and make for an interesting mix. Personaly i like the daily, precisely because it is usualy about the day to day trivia of daily life. It helps me connect. I have also found that the more i join in, the more i get out of it. That being said, no one should ever feel pressurised to join in or guilty if they don't. |

I think a lot of forums have similar problems at the moment. I tend to log in here most days, but don't often post, mainly due to lack of time. I quite like Catsey being small and friendly I do like FB as I can keep up with what family and friends are up to and admit to spending quite a bit of time there. |

I really like the Forum the way it is. Everyone is "there" for you when you need them. If I wanted to socialise about anything else then I can do on the other sites, but this one is a very special site and Forum to help me through the "highs" and "lows" with my 2 beautiful cats and to help all the others on this site through theirs. You are all very special freinds and there have been certain times of late when you have all been there for me when I have really needed you all . THANKS TO ALL AT CATSEY!! |

Is the forum being actively marketed online? I know that many here don't like FB, but having a forum page on there would attract people to the main site. Having a twitter account posting links to threads would generate interest. Simply using the hashtag #cat would make the forum's details available to anyone following that hashtag. A local town forum I belong to is doing just that and new members join all the time. There are other sites - Pinterest, for instance, where Catsey could sign up and could post images of cats or cat-related things. Like it or not, this forum is on the internet and online marketing needs to be used in order to raise awareness and get additional traffic to the site and new members to join up and - extremely importantly - join in. |
