On seeing or hearing an ambulance "Touch your toes touch your nose never go in one of those touch your collar never follow never come to my house" I recognise most of the ones already mentioned but I'm not at all superstitious, however I always greet Mr Magpie! |

My MIL was very superstitious, always said "White rabbits" on the first of the month, but it had to be the very first thing you said or it wouldn't work! She also had this thing about an itchy palm - if your left palm itched, it was a sign that you were going to lose money and if your right palm itched, it meant you were going to receive some. (or was it the other way round?) |
