We just got in the house! He has re explored, and has eaten something, and is drinking some water. Vet still not 100% happy with him, but wants him settled at home so his blood sugars stabilise properly without the stress of being some where unfamiliar. Fair enough, i'm happy to have him home! She says they'll leave other investigations (if needed) to when he's a bit more stable. Happy with that, just so pleased that for just now he pulled through and is happy to be home  And thankyou - i'm biased, but he's a handsome boy! We didn't pick the name Oban - he was already called it when we rescued him, but who ever did, named him well. I love it! |

Thought I would just update, as it's been a few weeks now, and you were all so helpful. He's been happy at home - had his bloods tested this week, and the vet was happy enough, he remains on a 5mg dose of insulin morning and night, but she's very pleased with his progress. We've found out though that he's slightly anaemic - and that doesn't normally go with diabetes, so we've to take him back in a few weeks time and get his bloods done again. Until then, we've just to carry on how we are. He seems happy in himself, so I'm pleased it's all ok at the minute. Thanks again for all the support offered at a stressful time! |
