Re: Thomas...and when is the time right

I can.t add anything to what everyone else has said; it is SO hard to make that decision, but I think you will know when he's no longer enjoying life...and that will be the time...I held my Sultan at the vets when he was pts, he had a fungal lung infection & was obviously in misery & was not going to get better...it was so hard, but it had to be done. He was only 14...and Misty spared me the decision: she was 19 1/2, blind & partially deaf, but she was still enjoying life, loved her food, purred like crazy when she was petted...well, she just went to sleep one night and never woke up. God, it is so hard...we love them so much and lose them too soon. My thoughts & prayers are with you, with love, Eileen

Re: Thomas...and when is the time right

I really would like to thank you all for your lovely replies, it is reassuring to know that you all understand what I'm on about, and your kind words are really appreciated. Thankyou.

Thomas eye infection has cleared up and he seems much chirpier so it must have been getting him down more than I thought. We will just have to take things as they come.....

Pleased he's better.
They don't cope with the little things so well when they are older.
I hope he gets to enjoy this summer too; Bless him.
