Where Melin lost all thr fur on one side of his face, due to the weasel bite , the fur is coming in a beige colour instead of grey???? so he now has a blue/cream face...

Re: Merlin....

That is really odd, Moli! I know that can happen with Siamese, fur coming in a different color after shaving for an op; think it's thermal related. As you know beige is the dilute of (red) orange and blue of black; how in the world did his new fur get beige? You now have a bi-color boy!
Big mystery! Wish I knew more about genetics.

Re: Merlin....

How strange Moli, you'll have to post a pic when it grows a bit more - we must see the new Merlin

Re: Merlin....

Oh I never saw about poor Merlin, hope he is ok now!

When Kiara was spayed, her fur grew in blue Moli on the shaved patch, not as blue as her points but more like the lighter, less obvious blue on her spine, but then it slowly turned back creamy as she shed and grew new hair!

I hope he will wear his new coloured fur with pride - he's been a brave boy.

I read when he was really poorly and your son was looking after him, but must have missed that was a weasel bite that caused it!

What a relief! A half cream face is a small price to pay! Perhaps it's to do with the infection and damaging the hair follicles? I have no idea i'm just guessing lol. It's typical in weims, when they get cuts that scar, for the hair to grow back white. And I suppose that they are technically blue like Merlin (dilute of black). x
