It looks lovely Dm are there plenty of places to Dogwalk? I live in a tiny village tucked into the Pennines and looking out over the Lake District this is the view from the front of the house and this is the other side, the Valley with the River Eden in This is from January when the River flooded, you can see the Lake District fells in the background |

Lovely too Het, in a colder sort of way (I'm just a softie! ) I know the Eden Valley a bit. When OH was teaching he used to run an Easter field course there - we were based in the Youth Hostel at Appleby. I went along as matron/chaperone for the girlies! Think I've been there 5 or 6 times. (Want to know about the geomorphology of High Cup Nick, rainfall at Seathwaite {isn't there just!!!} or glacial retreat???? - just ask me, I've heard it enough times!) Had some good times, with weather varying from phew! to horizontal freezing rain! Dorset has lots of dog-walking possibilities. We can walk to the woods or river direct from the house, 5 minute drive to the downs and 25 minutes to Studland (nudist) beach . Fortunately they take their willies indoors as the autumn approaches! |

Mags - pic 5 is Studland Bay between Swanage and Poole/Bournemouth. If you're there about 10 past 12 you see the fery from Cherbourg coming in - it looks as though it is going overland as it sails through the channel above the broad sweep (Does that make sense - hope so!) |

Quote:
Come to Studland in the summer - lots of whale sized naturist families and then, further down the beach, lone males with white bottoms appearing from the dunes or parading at the edge of the sea with their ?camera bag? thrown over their shoulder. All just a touch on the seedy side. We take the staffie and whisper "sausages"..............lol |
