I am sounding ignorant here! I never realised there were special cuts for cats! I never realised they did this on purpose! I pressumed it was for a matting problem or something like that! |

Don't worry about it Lianne - I thought is was cruelty to cats when I 1st saw it too!!!! Having been on some US sites there are lots of people who do this in hotter states (and also in Australia too) it's common practice and if the cats are used to it then they don't need sedation. I was going to do it to my VERY hairy girl, Fifi in 2003 when it was so hot but the vet advised against it as it would stress her out due to unfamiliarity. |
