Aggh Neighbours!!!

My neighbours have works vans. Both have drives but do you think they will put there b****y vans in them? No. They park them at each side of my drive which makes it blind for me coming out. They are so inconsiderate. I have spoken to them about it and got "well we pay road tax" and can park them there if we want! Which is also having a pop at me, as being disabled I dont pay road tax. I have got lines over my drive to stop people parking too near the drive. What do they do? Park as close to the lines as they can without being over! Which means there is nothing I can do about it.
Sorry for the rant but it really gets my blood boiling.

Well cars would be bad enough but it is very inconsiderate to park their vans there. Perhaps you should borrow somebody elses car and park it where they park their vans!!! lol

idiots!!!!

Perhaps you should try and phone the police and see what they say, as you said they are making it dangerous for you to exit your drive.

Re: Aggh Neighbours!!!

we had probs for 4 years with our parking spaces. there four houses on my side of road, in middle is a drive that goes to 8 parking spaces, two for each house. The neighbours on the ned the other side park wherever they want, and often have 4-5 visitors out there. we had one extra car here the night of our wedding, who parked in an emnpty spot, to ahve the neighbour pounding on the door swearing, in front of 6 kids, to move the car out of his f****** spot etc etc. SO i said to him " when it suite you there arent allocated spaces out there, make your mind up what spots yours and dont park in others". He then said " well we own our homes you rent so we can park where the f*** we want and you cant"
then 8 months ago i got new next door neighbours, despite me asking them 6 times they park in my space. I know i dont drive and have an offroad car, but i leave the space enarest my garden gate empty otherwise my kid cant get his jeep and bike out.
She came up with the excuse "im pregnant and it's closer to my house" yah ok, wahtevver, the whole parking lot is onlky about 15-20 feet long! then she starts parking slap bang in the middle of two spaces, so my visitors cant park.

they do thier nut,all of them, if anybdy parks in thier space, yet they park where they want to.

Re: Aggh Neighbours!!!

Jac n CJ - that's very un-neighbourley of your neighbours to say the least!! What is it with people? They really have their brains in their rears don't they?

We have renters next door and we both park our cars at the back of the house so the drives are next to each other. They only stand their 2 wheelie bins (which the owners used to keep inside their garden) RIGHT next to my Lexus. Twice I've found the bins lying across the wing of my car, in both cases hubby's had to remove the scratches with t-cut. If there had been a dent there wouldn't been superglue in the locks of their cars, believe me!!

It took an email to the owner (working in Holland) who did have a word and the bins were moved on Friday.

AND they slam their door really, really hard. We have a flying freehold so their hallway kinds of juts into our house-space (like a dog-leg) so all the noise reverberates throughout OUR house not theirs.

I hate people who are completely oblivious to others living around them . . . all it takes really is a little consideration!!!

Re: Aggh Neighbours!!!

Christ I think we are really lucky with our neighbours, they are very nice and very considerate. Mind you when we lived in our flat, god the tales I could tell you about neighbours, parties, loud music, somebody playing the clarinet at about 4 in the morning, arguements aaarrgghhhh when we moved we decided only to buy a detached property, then even if the neighbours were a pain at least we cannot hear them, but we did vet them first Mind you house prices being what they are I am not sure we could afford a 25 year mortgage on a detached property in Mid Essex.

Re: Aggh Neighbours!!!

we live in a bloxk of 6 flats, and theres 4 parking spaces out the front, 1 space (which trechncally should be ours, has been taken by a snotty cow in one of the houses, and if u park in that space she will block u in so we park the other side, and my neighbour is under the impression that she should have 2 spots,1 for her and the other for a boyfriend,(who dont live there)and if u go out they will run down the stairs and pinch your spot (sad eh??) really getting fed up with it all,but if u pinch her spot she will block u in shes loud always shouting about one thing or another roumour has it shes moving i do hope so

Re: Aggh Neighbours!!!

Sorry for you all who have trouble, my neighbours are great no problems at all parking or otherwise. The odd nutter moves into the maisonetes oposite (I swear the council put loonies in there on purpose) but they are normally soon "explained" the rules of the Croft and peace reigns.
