Telephone & Mailing preference service

A while back we were discussing the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) nad the MPS (mailing Preference Service) well today I received an unsolicited SMS on my mobile and after a very polite adn helpful conversation I had with Orange, my mobile Service Provider I found out that you can register your mobiles for the TPS which is something I didn;t know. So both mine & Oh's mobiles are now registered.

I have also registered with the Mailing Preference Service, well registered the surnames of the people who lived here 4 years ago and we are still getting mail for them

Hopefully the amount of junk mail coming through my door will start to slim down a bit

I didn't know you could get SMS messages stopped. That'll be useful - I'll be speaking with O2 about that!!

Re: Telephone & Mailing preference service

Yes it can all be done online and it's a FREE, that's the bit I like, I love that word FREE

The address is www.tpsonline.org.uk just go on there and register the mobile number/s. It only stops unsolicited/cold calling SMS from companies. The SMS I had was asking me to upgrade my current phone to another Orange phone cos I'd had my phone for 10months, yeah right only had my new phone in November
