Well just had a panic had to rush Sal to the vets, between 5.45 and 6.10 she "broke/split" the nail on her back left foot
she couldn't put her foot to the floor
panic ensued got vets appointment for 6.30pm; the vet looked at the nail then removed the "shell" black sheath part of the nail, apparently she was lucky as it hadn't gone down to the quick or nail bed,
and thats all it took the vets fingers and off it came, no painkiller nothing I held Sal's head and the vet held her foot and off it came she can put her foot to the floor happiness.
I also discovered that on Sal's vets "card/computer record thingy" are the words, "The nicest Staff in the practice, very gentle."
I am so proud, its been there since she was about 1 apparently.
So all's well that ends well.
