Had to share this may make you smile.

Well tonight after school my two nieces Katie (13) and Sophie (12) came to visit, as normal, we the people were ignored they adore the dogs.

Katie decided to teach the "girls" a new trick I sat outside watching to keep an eye on things, so Kate put Tess in the house and kept Sal in the garden and showed Sal her fav toy a tugger and then put it under a bucket the idea being Sal would then have to get the tugger from under the bucket, well it worked Sal knocked the bucket over happiness, happy dog happy
child.
Then Tess's turn came; out she came all eager, tail waggy and full of kisses as only 18 month old Staffs can be Katie did the same Tess's fav toy and the bucket Tess watched her with interest, Katie showed her the toy again and covered it with the bucket, nothing;
Katie lifted the bucket and shook the toy, enticing Tess . As Katie did this
Tess came and sat by her, ragger in her mouth she had gone into the shed and fetched another toy - obviously she is for the easy life, when we'd stopped laughing and Tess had stopped kissing everyone we tried again and this time Kate sat by the bucket and Tess fetched another toy from the shed brought it to Kate and lay down with her head on her knee as if to say "what are you doing there's loads of toys in the shed"
Not sure if Tess is too daft to learn or too clever for her own good. But reasonably certain I know which

Lovely story Kazz, Sal is clever, Tess probably could do it too, but thought why go through all that when I can get one out of the shed, I would say that is one smart girl!!!

Re: Had to share this may make you smile.

She's always been that little bit smarter than your average dog.

She seems to be able to work out that if she does A B will happen.
The summer before last when she was a little pup about 4 months or so - she wanted to sit on the sun lounger where Sal was she couldn't get her off the chair so Madam ran down the side of the house barked as if someone was there, Sal went into "guarding mode" and convinced herself she had missed and intruder she jumped off the chair and went to investigate Tess jumped on the chair - I knew then I'd have my work cut out with the her - and every minute has been fun totally enjoyable.
