Sad news, good news and EEEEKKK!

Fisrtly pelase forgive me everyone for not doing as i usually do and going through answering any new thread.

This morning i cleaned all bunnies out apart from ones with last weeks babies in. All fine, but our black bunny wouldnt come eat. thought nothing much of it. Went out to drop Ry at school, came home after shopping. At 11am, went to give bunnies a few brussles, to find the black one had given birth to five babies, but so sadly had killed three. they cant have been old as were still warm. I saved two, mommy bunny seems sad now, sitting in her nest, but i had no choice at the time but take them off her.
So we ran to the vets, got some cats replacement milk, and en eye dropper from boots, and I am now in the process of hand rearing two four HOUR old bunnies, as can be seen below.

I have to feed every 2 hours for 2 weeks! have been warned there a high risk they wont survive. But am following vets advice and cant do anymore than that.

I was in such a panic when i found them, so upset over loss of the three, extremely worried if the other two would survive.
I even had to make them a nest, managed to collect some of mommy bunnies fur. praying they survive bless them! so helpless.

anyway, sorry to typed so much. here they are.....

oh Luke that is so kind of you! i'll take you up ont hat if i need to!
All i know is keep them in anest, feed 2 hourly, wipe bottoms with warm wet cottom wool, and hope!

mags, we didnt know they were pregnant, we rescued five bunnies form somebody who didnt want them. We have one girl left who may yet be pregnant, we dont know yet. we were originally told theyre all girls but not so! but now they all in own cages.
we planned to keep two or three but cant keep them all. have to find them all good homes.I cant imagine raising 13!!!!!! how on earth the poor mummy buns cope i'll never know!

more soon, got to do school run, then feeding time again.
I'm in such a panick over the babies!!!

I'd say CJ that it would be best too feed them on Lactol, its what i allways used and is much better than the typical cats milk soloution...many use this but i wouldnt personally reccomend it
