Do you walk your cat?

I just wondered if any of you walk your cat, I will explain since loosing Oscar, Cleo I have noticed stays in much more in fact its rare she goes out on her own, I put that down to age and the fact she went out with Oscar - I never really noticed he must have been the instigator of their walks round the garden in recent years.
So I have started walking her up and round the garden ie I go out she comes with me. I wander round the garden looking at the plants, planning pots etc while Cleo potters about too Just took her a stroll up the garden now only 10 minutes or so and she is happy back to sleep for the next 14 hours During the day if I am off we are out the back or the front when she's awake (rare) . She loves early mornings and late evenings in the garden with me.
But she can get out herself through the cat flap and recently I have noticed if I wake in the night I see her out about 3-4 am just sitting. Its the warmer nights I think.

When they were younger they'd be everywhere I was garden I would have to check my sheds, pots, baskets everything to check for a sleeping cat before I could come in for the day. I miss that. But she enjoys her potter and the neighbours have got used to seeing me strolling round the croft with Cleo in tow before everyone is up

Cassie follows me around the garden but has the nasty habit of walking across my legs and almost tripping me up!

Re: Do you walk your cat?

Oh no I have the dogs for that Mags try getting 2 lively Staffies one elderly cat and one overweight short woman through a 3ft wide gate to go to the top of the garden and someone looses guess who ----------- correct me,

then when you get to the garden part of the garden, the cat falls asleep on your rubbish bag, the one dog has stolen your hand fork and running round in circles and the other is happily chewing the handle of your hand trowel, this is after they have killed the "dangerous" empty plastic plant pots, to keep you safe while you were planting - chaos.

Re: Do you walk your cat?

For the last 8 months or so we had an issue with some building contactors, who pulled down our boundary wall, long long story. Anyway it left access to the very busy main street which meant I wouldnt let Eva outside. In all that time I havent so much as walked her but have been running up and down stairs with her. We play races where Eva always wins by cheating We throw balls up and down stairs but Eva gets bored very quickly with that one and I am the one left playing fetch. The wall is now going back up and Eva can have her garden back very soon
