They think it's a 'inside job' possibly matrimonial. They said there is no sign of intruders or a break in. Poor mother, grandmother and poor little mite of a baby - I would be going out of my mind with worry. Aparently they don't hold out too much hope . . . I remember Smethwick on the train line between Birmingham and Stourbridge together with Rowley Regis and Cradley Heath. I thought they were such wonderful evocative names |

This is horrible but in a way not as horrible as it first sounds. It seems to be 'an inside job' sort of thing - at least not a random child-snatcher. The poor lamb will be just as dead though. Just awful. |

Just seen on the bbc website news that the baby is dead. This is what is says - Police searching for a six-month-old baby boy have found the body of a child in a drain near his home. Troy Simpson was reported missing from his home in Smethwick in the West Midlands on Tuesday. On Wednesday police sealed off an area less than 300 yards from his home after finding "something of concern". They said the area was being treated as a crime scene. Two men and two women have been arrested following the boy's disappearance. Some of the four being questioned by police are thought to be related to Troy. |
