Maddie & Tikka (Labrador Retrievers) - eye testsTook Maddie and Tikka for their annual eye tests last week (these are used to detect hereditary eye disease which labs are prone to) They are tested for 5 different eye conditions by a specialist opthalmic vet. Up until recently labs used to be tested for only four conditions but recently they have added a fifth test for labs. The eye tests should be done yearly if you are using your labs for breeding and if they fail any of the tests then they should not be bred from. Both girls behaved impeccably and passed their eye tests with flying colours
