Another Pregnant Cat!

Hi my brother's girlfriend's mum's cat is pregnant! If ya still with me I'll carry on.
Kitty was a stray/Ferrel (they think) coz she kept turning up at my brothers girlfriends mums house, a year ago.
So they eventually put her in a box and took her to the vets coz her front right leg was very deformed. Turned out that there was a cancerous tumour on her leg. So she had to have it amputated. Its only recently that she has come out of her box and let people stroke her, she's not let anyone pick her up yet. she's so timid, either from her mum rejecting her or her previous owners hurting her (they also think that at some point someone had tried to set the cat on fire!)

So here is the little darling not long after her leg was removed.
Ok so i cant add a picture yet coz my comp is playing up.

Pic is lowwer down the page

It's so nice to hear that she was taken in and looked after.....she may otherwise have had a very painful life.......

I can't understand why she wasn't spayed when her leg was amputated. I would imagine that pregnancy will be tricky for her, as it will be a lot of extra weight to carry.

I was going to say why didn't the vet spay her when she had her leg amputated, then it would have only been one anaesthetic. I would imagine pregnancy would put a lot of strain on her remaining front leg. Hope she gets on okay. Does she live in your brother's girlfriend's mum's (phew!) house now?

The way I read it is that the cat was taken in with bad foot/leg and maybe was already pregnant as a result of living rough?

Re: Another Pregnant Cat!

They were going to get her spayed this month, but obviously she cant now!

She's only become pregnant recently by a cat that hangs around the house where she's living now.

Yes kitty does live in my brothers girlfriends mums house.
