Seen a house that I want

For those of you that don't know - we moved house 18months ago. The plan was to move to a bigger property, but we couldn't find what we wanted in the village so as we had sold our house, we moved into a bungalow.(with potential to extend)
Husband loved it, but I was not keen initially & said I would move here as long as we could move again if I didn't like it after 12 months . He said ok. But he loves everything about it especially the large garden.
Oh yes & we plan to have an extension this year, plans are done to have an extra 2 bedrooms / dining room / bigger kitchen / office. & a staircase to the loft. But that is going to cost a fortune!

So then yesterday Smudgley spotted a house for sale .
Everything we wanted when we moved here. Told hubby & he's not having any of it , but I love the house I've seen & I really want it!!!

OK Rant over.....

Re: Seen a house that I want

Whats the +'s of the other house Smudgley? bigger? better location. And is it loads more expensive? maybe thats what put him off.

You could take the cat runs. And a village location sounds good,

Karen

Pluses are ;
it is much bigger / large kitchen / utility / downstairs toilet.
it is all "done" (ie won't have the mess of builders for months)
Location (it's only over the road)

Minuses are;
It is a semi (we are now in a detached)
It has a small garden
there's room for the caravan - but it would be on the front drive (it is currently in the back)

As for price - well it would be cheaper to move there than having the extension done here.

Well I have to say sounds good, not sure about the smaller garden bit though, have they actually put it up for sale or you've just "heard through the grapevine"

Re: Seen a house that I want

Men tend to be logical beasts so maybe if you sit down & work out the costs of remodeling versus cost of the new house....he might see reason Not tio mention the awful inconvenience of having workmen banging, hammering & pounding, in & out of the house all the time & the wear & tear on your nerves...!!! Go for it!!
