I hate older teenagers and early 20's

AGGHHHH I'm going nuts here. There is so much needing done in the house. We are decorating our bedroom. We have a new double matress in the hall, all our stuff is every where and were sleeping on my daughters bedroom floor. My wardrobe has been emptied and everything lyeing on the bottom of my daughters bed. What a pig sty! Anyway I cleaned the livingroom, took the throws off shook them and came back. Stepson sitting on the sofa. He got up watched me wrestle with the throws then sat back down once the were back on.
Stepson 2 Pain in the B*m. He has the cold (poor baby) but he's at deaths door. So pathetic, walking with his head down and coughing every wee while, just to remind me he's not well! Lazy so and so couldn't put his dishes in the dishwasher because he isn't well. AAAGGGHHHHHH
So I have sat myself down infornt of the PC and I'm doing no more!!!!
Sorry guys rant over but I'm sooooooooo p***d off.

Fran, I dont know if it's the Stepmother thing or there just ignorant. Think it's the latter. Found out that liquid has been spilt on my lap top. That's the second one that has had an "accident". I cant get anything but it gets broken (exept my animals)
I'm really hacked off with them today. Can you tell? Haha

Re: I hate older teenagers and early 20's

Its a daily battle. Good job I can laugh though.......sometimes

The 18 year old droped a bottle of cough syrip the other day then just looked at it. I had to clean it up . His answer when OH asked why he left it for me was he didn't know what to do . Am I mad or what? Should have made him lick it up glass and all. My poor cats could have cut there paws. Blue has already had a bad paw due to glass in the garden.

I'm early 20s Well, 24, so not mid 20s yet

Next time they need to do something, can't you stand by them and just tell them what they need to do, step by step?

as for your step children, give em a kick up the backside n dont pussy foot around them as your be doing it for ever, they have hands n feet and they know how to use them. dont be soft. no doubt they will throw at u the "your not my mum" u cant tell me what to do, when they do that one dont feed them dont do any washing for them, go on strike till they toe the line.

Hope things improve Jac = you need to start doing less and let them do some work around the house.

Agreed - you may not be their mum but you're still a person who does a lot for them and who deserves respect.
