So worrying.

A friend of mine is looking for a cat. One of her dogs died suddenly but she's not ready for another one just yet. To ease the pain on the kids she has decided to get a cat. Not bothered how old, doesn't have to be a wee kitten.
I told her to go to the Cat and dog home or the CPL. Both are full!! can you believe it.
Since the bird flu hit last week there numbers have doubled and they have no room left. She said they actually have a waiting list for people to bring there cats in.
I think thats disgusting.

Re: So worrying.

Jac - this is happening all over the country! We at Reading CP will be puttling out press releases after Easter telling people in no uncertain terms (tempered for political correctness purposes, but nevertheless worded strongly), to just stop being ridiculous and consider the actual realities of what they're doing in the light of seriously minimal risk.

It makes me cross, so I will leave actual interviews and the like to my level-headed co-ordinator, but I will be 'courting' the press to see how many will publish.

Re: So worrying.

Nope me neither, It would take far more than a silly bird flu scare for me to ever give up my cats

I feel so ashamed to be human, sometimes... Luckily the people here remind me every day that not everyone treats their pets like some dirt on the bottom of a shoe.
