This may sound silly

I am surethe old boy came to visit last night. I was lying in bed, just about to doze off when i am sure I felt Winston jump on the bed. I could feel his weight sitting by my feet. He then began to walk up my left side, as he always did before settling for the night, only as he was slowly walking he became lighter and lighter. Eva, who was lying on my right side, gave a little jump and he was gone. I looked to see if I could find him but obviously I couldnt. I didnt try to look before this because I really wanted him to be there. It made me very sad again but it was comforting to feel him near me too.

That's lovely Elaine. I'm sure he's never far from your side and is always keeping a watchful eye on you.

It must be comforting to know he is still with you Elaine.

I am sure it was him Elaine - in fact I would say I am certain.

Cleo could lie on either side now but she remains firmly fixed to the right. Why I am sure its because Oscar is asleep still on my left
