when I was very young I couldn't say my name (Emma-Louise) and would say Dey Dey instead - that stuck for ages. One of the many nick names that my OH uses for me is: Thelma - I have no idea why though |

Haha Jac!!! Poor Fran will end up with an identity crisis. Hubby doesn't really shorten my name to anything; sometimes calls me Yollsy ( ) but I have no reason to explain that one!! When I was tiny I couldn't pronounce my name so christened myself Apa (hard 'a's as in apple not as in ape!!!). My Dad used to call me Yolka Fasolka when I was in my 'tweenie' years. In Polish, Fasolka is a diminutive of the word Fasola which is a green bean. Seeing as I was lanky and skinny as a bean pole (ah the days); the nickname was quite apt . |
