Totally agree Kazz. Several years ago a drunk driver hit the car my mum was driving with me as the passenger. Thankfully no serious injuries to us, he definitely came off worse. Our car was a write-off and guess what - he had no insurance, so dad had to claim on his own. It's just not fair - he was driving on our side of the road! |

There's an enormous co-relation between untaxed/uninsured vehicles and other (arguably - but not if you're in an accident with an uninsured driver - more serious crime) I'm all for crackdowns. I thought that one of the functions of the plethora of surveillance cameras was to scan number plates and check that vehicles are taxed? All that's then required is for someone to enforce. PS - I think crushing to a cube is great - I think the miscreants should be made to press the button and watch! |

Fantastic idea! This type of 'minor' crime is becoming epidemic and needs to be stood on asap as those of us who abide by the law end up paying for it through insurance hikes etc etc. As DM rightly says, there is a direct correlation between this type of offence and more serious crimes and it just demonstrates what a 'couldn't give a stuff' environment we live in today |
