Not sure how long it takes. I thought I had been caught a while ago but I hadn't so fingers crossed. Mine was for going through a light though. Mind you I have been known to do 90. Guess I have just been lucky. |

mmm, not keen on speed generally. Don't think most people are good enough drivers to handle the car at very high speeds. But, it's all relative - 30mph is too fast in a residential area with kids playing. |

The national speed limit on a dual carriageway is 70 mph, 60 on a single carriageway, unless otherwise indicated (or you're towing etc). If you would have to break the speed limit to over take, then don't do it. There is never a valid excuse for speeding. I personally have no problems with speed cameras. Most roads are clearly marked as to what the speed limit is (and if they are not, or it isn't obvious, I think you can question a fine) and it is for the safety of everyone that maximum speed limits should be adhered to. I do however wish they would do something more useful with the money they make from these fixed penalties though. |

Julie, are you sure? I thought the national speed limit was 60 except on motorways where it was 70? I maybe be wrong though . . . . Sometimes cameras don't process even though they appear to have taken the picture. I know hubby was snapped doing a stupid speed (banable) on the M4 on his way to Heathrow several years back and nothing came through. Maybe he was going too quick |
