Your first cat!

Okay well as the 'childhood' cat thread didn't go quite to plan...how about a thread for pictures of our first cat/cats..they can be ones you had whilst young or once you had left home...

My first, i guess, would have been Sherman a BSH x...he was purchased (as a kitten) around the time i was born (that week i think!) so we did actually grow up together...he was a charming fellow..sadly struck down when he was about three if my memory serves me right, killed in a RTA

(can really see a strong resemblence between he and my Elsa!)

so lets see yours?

My 1st cat, Balie. Not that long ago, got him in 1997. Somewhere in a dusty archive I have a pic of him as a kitten but I've no idea where it is . . . but here's one of him as a 'grown-up' (although he'll always be my baby).

Brilliant pictures, everyone! My first cat was actually my brother's cat, but became firmly mine when my brother died. His name was Fred (he was named for a hugely complex pretend game about a cat that my brother and I developed - based on a crocheted cat my father's aunt gave me):

The first cat who was really mine was Jake - he and Fred adored each other, despite the age difference:

My first cat since I was married was Sam, a big handsome ginger tom.
He was sadly PTS aged 12.....

excellant pictures every-one. I don't have any pictures of my childhood cats my mum and dad have them all. But they were - CoCo and Lisa who were there before I was born, Teddy who was my Grandads cat and when my Grandad died we got Teddy, Charlie who we only had for a couple of years the one and only cat we everl ost to a RTA, then Hazel and Petal, Hazel died a couple of years ago and Petal is still alive and well and is now aged 16 years old.
