photobucket - resizing help please

When I resize my pictures - I always do 50% regardless of what they are or how big. then some turn out big, some medium & some tiny
How do you know what size they are or they need to be.

I'd like to know that too. Not only that but if you use the photo bucket re size they come out tiny.

Re: photobucket - resizing help please

I don't resize using photobucket, so sorry can't really help there. I use a photo editing suite to resize mine and usually resize them all to the same dimensions.. I'm sure there is someone who uses photobucket to resize that will be able to help...

Re: photobucket - resizing help please

It depends on the file size of the original image. If you upload a lower resolution file you may not need to resize it as it will be quite small anyway.

What Yola says!

Also, the 'old' image size is often stored in your cookies so may not appear to be the 'actual' size that you have just changed it to (thats sounds like nonsense! ). If you have resized and it still seems huge, try hitting the refresh button a few times or deleting your cookies (or renaming the file sometimes helps).

Re: photobucket - resizing help please

You can see the size in photobucket if you click on the image. The size will be under the photo with the name.

Think it needs to be 100K or less to post here. No doubt the read me sticky on one of the photo-related sections will say.
