Something is up with Tigger!

Last night i was stroking him and when i got to the base of his tail, my hand was all wet! The rest of him was dry!
Then i have just stroked him again thismorning on his back and the same wetness in the same place was there! and he meowed when I touched the wet bit.
Plus he has been sick 4 times this morning... Actually sick again just and nothing came up apart from white flem!
I don't think he has had anything to eat today either!
*I'm so worried*
My mum said see what happens!!!

Re: Something is up with Tigger!

Does he have a burst abscess at the base of his tail? It's a classic place for cats to bite each other when scrapping and often gets infected.
Did the wetness smell of anything? Not wee? Sort of sweetish, musky, smell?
I'd bathe it with blood heat water with a teaspoon of salt dissolved for today and off to the vet tomorrow for antibiotics if it doesn't improve: no, on second thoughts, if he's sick that would point to the infection being in his system and giving him a temperature ................ off to the vet asap. Not a serious illness but one which requires urgent treatment. He'll be right as rain in a couple of days.

I agree - a trip to the vets today would be my advice. Just for peace of mind.

Yes - I would get him to a vet pronto. My Mum's 1st cat got blood poisoning from a neglected wound with not good results .

Better safe than sorry Jane . . .

I think DM may have hit the nail on the head Jane. Definitely agree that he needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. Let us know how he gets on x

Re: Something is up with Tigger!

Thank you everyone for replying.

I really thought it was the beginning of the end for my brother Tigger yesterday. Ive never seen him like that b4.
But this morning he seems absolutely fine. He came in my room meowing and walking all over my head!!!
he hasn't been sick yet, and has been out lots of time this morning. total opposite to yesterday.
So hopefully he'll stay ok.
