Mr Smudgley reunites cat with owner

I look after the lost & found register for my local Cats protection.

This evening I had a call from another Cats protection volunteer to say she had just brought in an elderly siamese cat. She had taken him to the vets to be checked & left him in overnight. I said I would get the wheels in motin for finding the owners.

Then..... when my husband came in from the garden, I told him about the found cat & I said he should listen out incase anyone has lost him. (My hubby works for the council & works in Stourbridge where the cat was found) .... he replied that he saw that very cat last week at a house nearby the road he was found. I phoned the CP lady back & she went round to the house where John said he had seen the cat last week.

When she arrived, she was met by a child shouting the cats name & crying, when the CP lady spoke to the people there - it was their cat. They were terribly worried.

What a result!!

He had to pick some lads up from near to where the cat was & the lads ssaid to him, "look how thin that cat is" John replied "he's very old" & off they went on their travels, then when I mentioned the cat tonight, he straight away remembered the old thin cat. So glad it was him.
