Cat toys

How safe are your cat toys?

I bought a packet of three tiny mice (about 7cms long) from Sainsburys yesterday and gave Cassie one to play with this morning. Within minutes she had ripped the felt fluffy tail into bits and now one of the eyes has come out. It is a small pointed stud which could easily have been swallowed if I hadn't noticed it I had a look at the remaining 'eye' and that came out very easy too!

I really think more thought for safety should go into making of pet toys, don't you?

Re: Cat toys

Hmmmm. That's not too good is it? I thought all cat toys had to conform to some kind of 'minimum quality standard'. Obviously not!!!!

Good job you spotted it Mags

Re: Cat toys

I agree. so much goes into the safty of childrens toys. When it comes to toys for animals I dont think its the same. It should be, I have lost count of both cat and dog toys that have fallen to bits with potentially dangerous "bits" coming off.
