Sorry, guess I wasn't clear...should have said any leaves showing yet!! I'm assuming those are pictures of the tubs, and obviously nothing is popping up...little ******s are slow, aren't they! Worth waiting for little new potatoes, yum |

Smudgley - it looks like you have filled the tub to the brim straight away. I expect that will still work but I've always been told to do it gradually, like I said here http://www.catpages.co.uk/talkcats/s...83&postcount=4 You tend to do that in the open ground - let them show, earth them up, let them grow up a bit more, earth up more, etc etc. The leaves need to get a bit of daylight to act as the 'factory' for the plant. Think I'd scoop off about half the compost and save it till later. When the shoots have about 6 leaves, put some more compost in but don't cover completely. 'Spect they'll survive - they usually do! |
