Daily thread- sunday 18th june 2006

Good morning all.
A bright, and somewhat less stuffy, start to the day here.
Had a super night with Alisha, she curled up next to me for 80% of the night. Had some fuss of course. Got off the bed a few times to nibble at some food.

Not a peep from her all night though. Just gave her lots of love in case she is missing her mum and sister.
She's spent the morning ( well since we got up at 4.30) sitting on the sofa with elliot, who is a little under the weather, temperature and sickness. He isnt too bad, just a little whingey when the calpol wears off and his temperature goes up again.

No real plans for today other than trying to get through all the laundry from holiday. HOw is it you go through three times more clothes on holiday than you do at home?????

sat up in bed until gone 11pm watching alisha lol. She seems to be getting on fine with the other furry members of the household, she certainly loves being cuddled up next to somebody.

Elliot has just fallen asleep,so seeing as I have been awake from so early, I am off back to bed myself for an hour or so!!

have a great day everyone

Morning Carley, Morning all.
Fair day here today, not exactly warm-but bright. Have some guests for sunday lunch today which will compramise of something with beef (but not a roast!).
Animals all are happy-Elsa decided to sleep in the house for the first time all week last night, she is now curled up on the sofa watching the world go by.
Enjoy your day all!

Re: Daily thread- sunday 18th june 2006

Good morning.
Have been to the allotment, done my watering and returned with new potatoes, carrots, cabbage and strawberries for our meal tonight. Have a small rack of local lamb so shall put that to 'steep'/infuse with rosemary (allotment again) and garlic. mmm mm, if I could keep a small flock of sheep and a few hens we could be self sufficient! Also have some beetroot cooking, to be sliced and sprinkled with balsamic vinegar - heaven!
The domestic stock is all well, kittens are growing like crazy, Min seems to improve by the day; every day I say 'there she is, back to 100% fitness' but the next day she is a little bit better. She loves the renal diet food, which is a help/relief.
The day seems a little cloudier/more gentle than yesterday, so I will be more comfortable outside than yesterday which was a bit fierce.
Looks like I am in garrulous mode today - sorry! Hope everyone has a good day.

Re: Daily thread- sunday 18th june 2006

Dm, can the kids and i come to yours for tea today? It sounds lovely.

I just made Alisha a bean abg cushion, extremely pleased with myself lmao.
Do you remember I got some yellow fur material for the kittens a while back? Decided to make use of it, and we had some spare beans from a bean bag. Only took me half an hour.
Must say Alisha walked off it right away, but I am sure one of the cats will use it!
No more beans left but have some old pillows from a sofa bed I am going to take the stuffing out of.
Then I plan to FINALLY start one of my persian cross sticth patterns! Hoing it looks ok when eventually done, so i can hang it in my hallway or bedroom.

SOI do now have some plans for the day lol

Re: Daily thread- sunday 18th june 2006

Afternoon everyone!!

Had a cracking day yesterday at my parents. Both my sisters were there and we had such a laff. Got back about 8ish last night. Was wandering around my dad's garde and have ear marked a new rose to go in my garden next year. Should be getting it about November/December time. It's a lovely pale pink colour. Told him he had too many roses in his garden. I counted about 12-14 different rose bushes

It's really cloudy here today and we've had a few light showers. Kids have given dad his Father's Day card and are now merrily jumping all over him

Afternoon all, been a little drizzly here. Not done much today. Hubby has redesigned Fudge's run to try and stop him escaping again It does mean that it is quite a bit smaller than it was but if it keeps him safe that's the main thing

Hope you are all enjoying a relaxing Father's day
