Well - first meeting. Kittens had been in the living room for about half an hour and were quite content doing kitten things - tasting houseplants and watching the ball on the cricket on TV etc. So, I thought they were happy with their environment, went to get Dinah from the kitchen (with her lead on). We had only gone a couple of steps into the hall when Chester came charging out - stopped - puffed himself up like a little sea-urchin and spat - pitt, pitt, pitt. Dinah was soooooooooo excited, but quiet and not jumpy. We went into the living room and Dinah lay beside me and quivered but the kitties weren't having any (neither of them grew up with a dog). So, kitties back to their domain (after being sworn at by Mini - again!), Dinah in her bed, looking guilty. I keep telling her she's done nothing wrong but she really wonders where those little fluff balls have gone and what she did to make them go away. More adventures soon - hopefully with progress. |
