Daily thread - Saturday

Good morning. A nice sunny one here.
Day started on a bit of a downer with Mini bringing back her breakfast on the living room floor. Hope it won't leave a stain. We have a sisal (?) floor covering, which doesn't particularly like being washed. I may have to go to Yola for specialist advice as I believe she has experience and expertise.
I am going to take the next step in the kitten toilet training two days early, by removing the first of the base rings of the kitty-loo. They will start to 'go' over a hole. Fingers crossed.
Gardening (end of season sale at the allotment shop so I must go bargain hunting), strawberry picking, may look in on the football, certainly follow the cricket. Not a bad day, as long as Min is OK.

Re: Daily thread - Saturday

Good morning!
Well today is the day....big party tonight, been bracing myself all week and am ready to face certain people, AND enjoy myself! Am babysitting now...(little brats driving me insane!!) but get off at half eleven this morning...then am going to the cemetry with g-gran to put some flowers down for grandad and stuff as i promised...then its off to help set the 'venue' up...and then getting ready and sorted to actually go.
Our house still smells of chicken from all that we cooked for the party yesterday, plus the various pots of curry, sausages on sticks, samosas, bahjeers (sp), flans, quiches, and everything else! So should be a fun day....
Animals fine, Ralph recovering from yesterday but ok
Enjoy your day all!

Good morning all

DM- hope mini is ok, dont eat too many strawberries today

I dont have any plans other than sitting around the house. Did a load of walking yeterday morning, and am paying for it today, VERY achey.

Slightly dull, but not chilly, start to the day here.

kids and I are going to watch flight plan in a few minutes, been waiting tos ee it since I saw the adverts saying it was in the cinema!

Also watching the pacifier tongiht on sky, another one I been waiting to see since it was released. If it doesnt coincide with ryans friends birthday party that is, I COULD try setting the dvd player to record it, but it never works when I do it for some reason

Re: Daily thread - Saturday

Hello!!! It's been raining here during the night which is good as my front garden's parched and shrivelling. I'm going to take Dominik to the 'Waterfest' which is a kind of 'carnival by the river/canal' here in Reading. It looks to be fun with theatre, crafts, music, narrow boats etc etc. We have the convergence of the Thames/Kennet/Kennet & Avon Canal in the town centre and it really is a lovely place to spend a few hours.

After that we will be heading off for our 3D scan. I can't wait!! I have to run and chose some Cocteau Twins tracks to put on the DVD (lovely, ambient, watery-type music) which will be perfect to accompany pics of junior swimming in his own personal pool!!!

DM - I used uphostery cleaner to get rid of the initial muck, and then saturated with with cat urine/poo/sick remover. It has resulted in a stain only in the worse area of vomit . . . however as it's a shady corner of the stairs I can live with it. Hope that helps. Poor Min . . .

Morning everyone. It was meant to be Paul's Saturday off but he's having to work

Had our delivery of chippings yesterday afternoon and Paul and Thomas were shovelling it infront of the garage so we could move one of the cars into the garage. Poor Thomas, the shovel was taller than him

Nothing planned for today apart from some food shopping later
