The party today thread..Thought i would let y'all know how everything is going today lol...i have done all the things at home and am currentlly in my aunts kitchen on my laptop, oh AND babysitting..musnt forget that lol, but the sprogs i am sitting for are all sitting eating some melon as we speak..so safe and quiet lol The relatives who are coming, Down From Cumbria are halfway here (apparentlly) the relatives who are coming up from Dorset and SOmerset (meeting up to venture home to Cov!) have just boarded their train so should be in Coventry fairly soon, so will have to meet them and the northerners from the train station at about half 2-half 3.... The relatives flying in from the states (My handywork there, as they werent coming-and no1 bar me knows they are coming  ) are on their flight as we speak and i cant remember what time their flight touches down at Heathrow...but they too will be hopping on a train and meeting us at the train station.Shall be venturing to the london road cemetry with g-gran as promised to put some flowers down for g-grandad....her way of including him bless her.. Then will be setting off to help out with setting the venue up...then will dart across town (on bus) with one of my aunts to collect the folk from the train station....drop them off at their B&Bs and then pre-book taxis for them all for about half past seven.. i then may attempt to dash into town to get a jacket from debenhams but doesnt look likely  Then back to g-grans (the base for everything happening today-par usual, lol) and see where i can help) Think i have to fetch g-g aunty mable from the sheltered accomodation she lives in...and deliver her back to grans lol.. My actual Grandparents (not great grandparents) are being their usual selfish self and not par taking in any helping...pffft cant you tell i hold distain for them?!?! Then it shall be getting dropped off home with enough time to get showered...changed...sort hair out..have a drink then offsky to enjoy myself. Jeesh in my head it seemed like i had done so much already...typing it out, i realise im not even half way done lol!! I may charter my progress throughout the day if i get a moment... Will have my camera this evening so may post some pictures if you would wish to see...? Now have to dash as ive just heard a scream from one of the sprogs im meant to be sitting for!

Ta DM-im actually looking forward to it now...a certain someone told someone else that he wasnt attending tonight for personal reasons, so thats made me feel a whole lot better!! And at the end of the day....certain relatives are well into their eighties and nineties now...they aint gonna be around forever, so i dont wish to waste what time i have with them! Now am late for meeting g-gran as my aunt hasnt returned back so i can leave her sprogs yet....DAMN! |

Well am back from the cemetrey and trainstation pick ups... The cemetrey was very...humbling, brought a lot of memories back and it seemed so long ago that grandad was actually here etc...but life goes on! G-gran liked spending an hour there, put some flowers down...poured abottle of whiskey on 'him' (barmy i know!) and just sat and had a chat reallly....Their has been a hitch with the train folk....the relatives from cumbria got here fine, the relatives from Dorset got here fine, as did the relatives from Somerset...but the ones flying over from the states have not yet touched down in England...something about having to board a connecting flight (I'm totally confused!!) so they should be with us in an hour or so...and then on the train so here for about half five/six oclock so it shall be quite a rush sorting them out!! Looks like no time to get my jacket-ah well! Have just nipped home for half an hour to pick some things up...then its over to g-grans house (with laptop so i can still be on CP, hopefully!) for a bit! All is running fairly smoothly.... |

Welll...everyone who was coming via long distance has arrived and are safely in their B&Bs getting ready including..*drumroll* my g-g aunty Eileen who is 93 and my g-grans ELDEST sister, i allways forget about her as we see her so scantlly...but a few phonecalls to her daughter Merideth...and well, Merideth, her husband Don and g-g aunty Eileen are over for the party..AND they are staying over here now until the end of august to see out my g-grans 80th...arent i a saint?!?!? |

How on earth do you remember who is who in your big family Luke?!!  You have so many aunts, great aunts and g.g. aunts you would be forgiven for forgetting some of them!I'm pleased to hear everything is going to plan....let's hope you can relax soon and enjoy yourself....... |
