Everyone. To judge someone as weird for their taste in music and to do so publicly. Wrong. To discuss anothers opinion where it may well n ot have been intended for discussion. Wrong. To accost a child and do so in an unpleasant manner. Wrong. There you go Em |

the man was verbally abusing your daughter and was in the wrong. there are ways of saying things, a skill which many people I have come across lately lack. ok, your daughter shouldnt have said he was a weirdo perhaps, but this guy shouldnt have stoped her publicly and had a go. Your daughter is still young, he's old enough to know better |

I am just annoyed that the neighbour who has the query didnt come to me to sort it out before broadcasting it around the street. And even more annoyed that the nosey ****** from down the street had a go at her!!! I have told her she should keep her thoughts to herself if indeed she did say that. (But it is not exactly the worst I have heard teenagers call adults these days),. |

I'm of the opinion that if you have a problem with someone then you try to solve the problem in a calm and polite manner, preferably out of sight and earshot of other people. Definately not in the middle of the street. Children, and adults too, say things that can be mis-interpreted and more often than not are taken out of context. Most people only hear what they want to. |

He should not have had a go at your daughter in the street. Teenagers say all sorts of things (mine do!) and often don't think before they speak either, if it bothered him that much he should have had a quiet word with you. Why is someone else telling him this anyway - doesn't he have anything better to do than tell tales from teenagers! |

Your daughter was a little tactless, but for heavens sake, she's young! The man was very wrong to upbraid her in a public place; if he really had a problem with it (and as an adult I think he should have just shrugged it off), he should have approached you privately. Honestly, some people!!! |

I wouldnt of minded if the person she was talking about had the decency to come and tell me himself!!! And to get a telling off from the nosiest neighbour who thinks he owns the street has really got my blood boiling. My daughter has had a stern word from myself (she is 12) even though she has said she didnt say what she is being accused of. |

He should never have stopped your daughter in the street, you neighbour should never have repeated what she said either, she is a kid, they all do that kind of thing.... |
