Caleb (non cat)

Well, we have had Caleb since March and he is settling in well. He is still only 1 year old and can be a bit of a handful as you might expect for a young dog. However, he is friendly, non-destructive (mostly) eats well and very loving. It did take me some time to bond with him after losing Daisy & Ben and I must admit that I feared I had made a mistake in getting him. However, although he can never ever replace D & B, he has a lovely personality in his own right and the house would be very quiet without him. He is okay with the cats, but would love to play with them sometimes, which they do not appreciate. Anyway, thought I would post some recent piccies of him.

Here he is with my daughter, Rachel on one of our favourite walks

Having a rest after too much chasing the ball!

This is the view on our favourite walk!

This one was taken on Sunday at the Melton Mowbray Show. Here he is with OH waiting for the judging in the 'Snoggiest Dog' class! (He didn't win!)

A Caleb montage!

Re: Caleb (non cat)

He's a lovely boy Kim - thanks for the pics.
I understand what you mean about not being the same as the one that's gone and bonding issues. The problem is ours, not the animal - it's not the same as the one you've lost, and as soon as you really 'get' that, and enjoy and appreciaite them for themselves, you're half way there.

What a handsome dog. Is it a greyhound? *shows ignorance of dog breeds here*
