IT just keeps getting better

Have had a bit of a yucky day.
You may know on my other threda I put about sore ears etc, and that I said in the week I'm full of snot?

Well today the pains in my face and ears got sooo painfull, none of my painkillers would help, tired paracetamol, then ibuprofen, then co-prox.

by 5pm i was in tears with the pain, so called the out of hours doctors, and went over to see them

I have an ear full (left) of green pus (nice!) and a middle ear and inner ear infection, I have sinus infection AND tonisilits!

I just thought my sore throat was cos of shingles or seomthing.

Saw a REALLY nice docotr. I hate bothering doctors out of hours etc, always worrying therye going to tell me off for wasting thier time

anyway,
I am now on co-amoxiclav and he also gave me voltarol for the pain.
First time I ever met a doctor who rpescribed pain killers for an infectiona nd didnt just say wait for antibitoics to work

I am now pain free ( WONDERFULL) but feeling very woozey. Cheaper than geting drunk

Re: IT just keeps getting better

CJ I know how u feel, i've been ill for the past 2 weeks and currently had really bad earache, the pain has subsided now after 2 days of agony, but now my ears feel really blocked and I can hardly hear at all

If it's not any better by monday i'll make an emergency appointment but seeing as i'm not actually in pain at the mo i'll give it another day.

*sigh*

Good job you went to the docs CJ. I hope the ABs work really quickly and you get shot of this vile infection.

Are you taking vitamins? Sounds like your seriously run down if you're picking all these things up so easily

Look after yourself girl!

Re: IT just keeps getting better

thanks everyone

sorry i didnt reply sooner, have had the msot awfull time trying to get onto cp.

Would love to say I feel better today, but i dont!
I have a fever ( 43.2) ache and itch so much, this heat is killing me!
but, I know the antibitoics will kick in soon, and clear this, and nearly awlays gotta get worse before getting better.

I do take daily vits etc.
I take

vit b complex
multi vit and iron a
calcium and vit d

Am considering trying vit c though, recently i have just had one minor illness after another, coughc, colds, bronchitis few months ago, this lot.

Volatraol are making me very dopey, so am chillin on sofa, dozing on and off. Kids are being extremely well brhaved.

No offer of help from hubby, who lives under an hour away, despite him not being at work today, as he is visiting his uncle. Yet my mum who lives 6 hours away said she'll jump in the car the minute i need her to,bless her.

to be hoenst I could use the help, but she has arthirtis, angina, unstable diabetes. so I dont want to ask her. And I dont have anyone else.
Well i do have a brother and sister in law living 20 minutes walk fromme, but they rarely offer help to anyone for anything. Not moaning, just saying could use the help, but by time mum gets here i should be feeling better.

ok, whinge over!!!!
