can i take paracetamol whilst taking voltarol?

I need to getmy temperature down, but doc only gave me one strip of voltarol and not the apcket so I cant read the patient informationleaflet.
I dont wanna ring NHS direct for this unless i cant find out anywhere else.

Re: quick drugs related question

Voltarol otherwise known as Diclofenac is an NSAID and is a different class of drug from paracetemol. It should be ok to take alongside paracetemol but I would get the ok from your GP first Carly. Remember Voltarol needs to be taken with food, it shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach. Hope you are feeling better this evening x

Re: quick drugs related question

i know i should have remembered but i hadda catually look it up!!!!! I blame the fever, it was affecting my brain lmao!!!

I was a bit naughty fran, I jsut took it anyway! he did say i could take voltarol and still take co-prox, but the pain wasnt THAT bad! (boy that really would have knocked me out)

anywa, no fever today! and the sore thraot is slightly better.

ears still fel full, still ringing and uncomfy, bit annoying really but they'll get better soon I'm sure.

No voltarol needed since 9pm, took two ibuprofen this morning and theyre controlling the pain just fine(so far) , so i must be getting better

Carly phone the doc. Either get him out or get an appointment. You shouldnt stil be (voltarol,or diclofenac sp) eats the stomock lineing and can cause ulcers. That will be why you didnt get alot. They will probably give you something else if you need it and it sounds like you do, take care.

Re: quick drugs related question

they gave me antibitocs saturday,
and the voltarol arent needed now, as i said i took 2 ibuprofen this morning, and am doing fine on those.

It's just the feeling that my ears are full of water that's still pestering me really.

Not been on AB's 48 hours yet so gotta give them a chance to work.
Am feeling slightly better now, think I just tried to rush back into doing the housework cos i felt a little better, instead of doing it gradually.

I'll give it a little longer before I go back to doctors again, at this poitnt hey'll probably only say see if the co-amoxiclav work.

but I'll look after myself, promise!
