My friends are *so* demanding - remember Rufus the ginger tom?I posted pictures of him a while ago. Then we all talked about how he matched the wallpaper  Well... He used to have a feline housemate, Mina, who disappeared when her people went on holiday (last fall). His person (major shift in relationships in between) has decided he's ready to get a kitten to fill the gap. He had to get a kitten because Rufus is very shy (everyone was surprised when he let me scritch him under the chin  ), and recently he went to the rescue and found the perfect kitten for him and Rufus  Unfortunately, Domino is coming home on Friday. His housemates will be gone from Friday night, and he himself has to work all day on Saturday. So can you guess what he dared ask me? You got it. I've got to go spend all of Saturday watching a kitten and an adorable, lovely Rufus. I'm sure you can see that the only chance I have of surviving is by taking my camera along and snapping picture after picture for Catpages

Oh how very gracious of you, Hreow The other day he actually lay happily on the ground in the yard and stayed there when I went to pet him, while I went to fetch the camera and took pictures (working on the software now) and then while I stroked him some more. He's really amazingly relaxed lately Although in this heat... Not sure he has much choice! |

Reminds me of the Uncle Remus stories: Brer Rabbit saying. "Whatever you do. don't throw me in the briar patch!!" (Or is that to American an allusion?) Anyhow, Imagine being "forced" to watch a beautiful cat & a darling kitten all day...  I should have such friends... |
