Off to Normandy

Wish me luck! On Monday 80 year 8 pupils and 9 of us are off to Normandy for the week. We do this every year and always have a great time but come back absolutely shattered.
These youngsters can manage on very little sleep, giggling and chatting till all hours. It's us oldies who feel the strain!
Must hunt out all the old shorts and T-shirts, weather forecast looks good!

Hope you all have a great time. I love Normandy, went there on holiday a couple of years ago. Also went there on a school journey in High School! Whereabouts are you staying? where will you be visiting? Don't envy you all those young people though!

Kim, we're going to Southern Normandy not too far from Alencon. It's a study centre that we've used several times before and they're going to be kept very busy!!
Every day they have some language work to do and they go into a town and have to conduct surveys, buy things at the market to produce a cold supper for their group, follow town trails and so on. We also visit Fougeres where there's a great castle to explore, and have a trip to Mont St Michel.
On top of all that, there's some time for them to go shopping and on the coach drivers rest day there are activities at the centre, archery, canoeing, agility etc. On the Friday night we finish with a disco. Phew!!
I'll try to post some pics when I get back but I'm not allowed to show the faces of pupils so it'll probably just be "nice views"
