Dead Ferret syndrome.

Sounds scary doesnt it, well it is! Scared me half to death when I found my Ferret like this.....

Could not wake him up, like he was in a coma. Rang the Vet, engaged!! Quick look on the hunting site (with Ferreting section) within 2 mins of posting I had 4 replies, saying its normal! Dead Ferret syndrome, alive, but in a deep sleep. He woke a couple moments later as if to say "what do you want!!"
Dawn.

Re: Dead Ferret syndrome.

Erk! Very scary....

Sailor did that once, although ive never heard of Dead Cat Syndrome.... exactly the same thing, he was lying on the back of a chair, and i went to stroke him and he was limp and i couldnt see him moving at all, picked him up and he was totally floppy, still no reaction and i SCREAMED like a big girl cos i did honestly think he was dead....

And he opened his eyes and gave me a very dirty look for waking him up!

Em
