That's right Kazz - just through their paws. Apparently their insulation works for them in the summer as well as winter and they carry their own little microclimate, trapped in their fur. They will very occassionally pant, like a dog, but only if they are extremely hot. They normally have enough sense not to get into that state. |

That's good. Panting in cats is a really bad thing - means they're overheated. They're not like dogs who can cool off by panting. Whether not at all, or just not enough, I don't know though. Warm and damp paws means she's getting rid of the heat. Hot and damp, or hot and dry, either combined with panting cat = eek! (But remember that they're warmer than people to begin with, so I do mean hot.) If your worried, you could see if she's amenable to something cool and damp to put her feet on? (Helps with the evaporation which cools, as you already know. ) |

No not worried - she had been oout and about - and then came and lay down and I touched her feet well tickled them and noticed they were warm. Another question does anyone else tickle their cats feet? |
