Morning Moli, morning all......

Nice morning here with the sun trying to break through......

Had a disturbed night last night when some idiots decided to set fire to a car in the road........explosions and fire engine sirens do not go down well in the middleof the night!

Have a good day everyone!

Re: Daily thread...Friday..

What a nightmare Mags!!! Fires are scary to say the least . . . arson is scariest of all

Have to take my watch in for a repair today. My ex-h bought me a rolex when we got married in 1989 and for the 1st time in 17 years it's stopped!!! I don't feel dressed without a watch as I never take it off, so will have to go and buy a cheapie whilst this one is sent back to Switzerland for repairs. I can see a hefty bill looming also - they wanted to charge me £200 for a basic service!!

Apart from that? Not much - need to pick up a sack barrow and angle grinder (again) from the hire shop so hubby can recommence laying of the back garden tomorrow.

Have a lovely Friday everyone

Eeek - fire!

Eek - watch repair!

Am about to go off to see the crumblies and have been volunteered to take mum out to lunch, so may not get back in time to post today. Friday barbie this evening I think.
Dinah is coming along fine. She 'spat-up' a little with a cough this morning but is happy and bright, eating and drinking, so I think she'll be fine once the blimmin cough has gone.
Hope everyone has a good day - it's getting warmer again!

If it's a Rolex, it should have a lifelong warranty on it... My brother bought a Rolex with his share of my mother's inheritance, and the warranty on it was for life, regardless of circumstances.

Or can you not find the warranty?

Re: Daily thread...Friday..

Snoof I have all the paperwork, I'll got and take a look. Thing is, as it hasn't been serviced for all of its life I think that will probably invalidate the warranty. They recommend annual servicing, but for the price they charge you can guess why I've never had it done!!!!

Aparently it's still 'ticking'. So no major damage done the shop thinks, they will carry out the service and she is confident that this will resolve the problem.
