Have had a bit of an eventful year, and have managed to sort lots of financial things, so as i have managed to clear the credit card bill (which is only used for the vets) and get a car (Which has enabled me to find a cheaper vet), I toyed with the idea of adopting Molly, as she is living her life out with me regardless, but it gives the rescue more money for more needy cats. I have said I am goign to do it on a trial basis to see if I can afford it first though (have gone up to 3 cats once before and ended up maxing the credit card out and still having to go in my overdraft so didnt think it would ever be an option again - less than a year later the credit card is paid off, and i dont even get £50 into my overdraft) - I have already paid for her blood tests and microchipping this year, and when I looked into pet insurance, they had a discount on, so got her for £7.99 a month (she is 13), so booked it before I started the trial month!! The rescue dont expect me to do this, but I Think that if I Can afford it I should, and if I Can't afford everything, I will at least pay for the biscuits and pet insurance and anything else I can afford. Hopefully I will be able to afford the food, although typically I have changed her to HiLife which is what my 2 get, and she keeps trying to pinch Tom's Whiskas!! (might need to do a 2 month trial on that though, as it was biscuit ordering month, which added £20 onto the bill), and then it is just finding the £70 for her vaccs and adoption fee (could actually use my savings for that). She is such a different cat to when she came though, there is no way she could ever go back to the rescue, they didnt' think she had long when she came (they didn't want her to be moved, but she made them change their mind by sitting on me and refusing to move!!), and they now think she has years left in her, as she is so much happier. Here is one of my fav pics of her - it was taken not long after she came, and shows how much she loves me.
