14 weeks and spraying

Is it normal for a 14 week old male to have started spraying? My neighbour who looks after my cats and dog during the day says that Alfie is spraying everything (fortunately just outside). I am aiming to get him neutered in the middle of October (my vet will not do it any sooner) and thought that boys didn't start spraying until at least 6 months.

Re: 14 weeks and spraying

I'm sorry I don't know if it is usual or not. I haven't come across it in the 3 males I have had previously and my two 16 week olds don't spray.
I have been watching them to make sure the double testosterone in the house doesn't lead to anything which makes me think they should be neutered early (I was thinking of precocious humping, really, or fierce (real) fighting, rather than spraying). My vets like to neuter at 6 months too.
