Choo-Choo Bear (which is what we decided to rename Tigger to) is here. I have a general policy of, when a new cat joins the household, leaving them alone to find their bearings.
He disagrees with it immensely
As soon as I hold out my hand, he's twining and cuddling around it like a thing possessed, purring and cuddling and
loving his fuss. Then he thunks over onto his back to get his belly rubbed!
He wolfed the wet food I set out for him and has explored his litterbox (I bought some more of those Sherleys drops, just in case). And when I went to the loo earlier I could hear him playing with one of the (numerous) toys I've bestowed on him
Off to the vet's tomorrow morning, because I want the state he's in documented and if the vet decides he's well enough I'd like him to get the flea-shot and be wormed.
He's absolutely lovely, and heartbreakingly adorable, but in a right state. So once he's been to the vet's and his current condition has been documented, I'll let him recover for a few hours and take the dry shampoo in to see what can be done... As well as a brush and an undercoat comb.
I'm 99% sure he's semi-longhair (not longhair) but his coat is so thin and miserable it's really hard to tell. I'll get pictures tomorrow - my camera's still broken and my friend will bring his one round tomorrow
He seems to be feeling pretty good within himself, though... His meow is very high-pitched and when he's purring he always adds in some chirping.
He's amazingly small - I have wondered a bit if he's not younger than they said he was. He's supposedly 18 months old, but he's
much smaller than Ninja was at a year old, and much more kittenish (although obviously they're different cats, and Choo-Choo has a very pixieish bone-structure to begin with).
Perhaps he's just a small cat. I'm a worrywort
Thought I'd let you all know, he's here and he seems to be happy and feeling well in himself - aside from hiding when someone walks into the bathroom (until he knows they're ok - once I hold my hand out he comes running) he seems perfectly comfortable.
