Someone else IS feeding Moli

Just had words with one of my neighbours, 5 doors up and her told her not to feed my cat. She knows it's my cat but her 'kids felt sorry for Moli and wanted to feed her'

No wonder Moli is putting on weight. I'm sorry to rant but I just hate it when people feed my cats. She's an outdoor cat and I feed her, she has a set routine which until these interferring twits decided to feed her, has worked well and Moli was a fit and athletic cat. My immediate neighbour who 'shares' Moli said she thought Moli was pregnant.

I wish people would leave the cats alone

Right that feels better

That would infuriate me Nae, I totally understand that it would wind you up. You have done the right thing, but I was also told that you can put tags on the collar saying "needs meds" or "requires special food" something along those lines to deter would be do-gooders!
Dawn.

Re: Someone else IS feeding Moli

I've been thinking of getting a tag on her that says 'Please do NOT feed me'

We've not bothered with collars for the past few months as she's forever loosing them

She can't jump as high or as far as she used to. In fact she avoids any sort of strenuous exercise if she can possibly help it. Was thinking of keeping her in for a week or so to try and get the weight off her a bit.

My neighbours give mine cuddles and chat to them, but dont think they feed them - or not on purpose anyhow....maybe they help theirselves!

I hope you get your situation sorted x

That's so annoying, and not good for her health, either! Hope the woman tells her kids to stop it! Will she object violently to being kept indoors?

Nah she likes to have a quiet kip in my daughters bedroom during the day so she shouldn't be too bad.

Hope they have listened to you Nae, it would annoy me if someone else was feeding mine too....How do they know what she is fed, and she could be on a special diet for all they know...

I do hope you get this sorted, it isn't fun or easy getting cats to lose weight, and harder when you are giving them less food but it isn't working!! With Ginger, I just gave him less as damage limitation, there was no way I could stop him eating next door when they dont always know he is there.
