yes - they def. try it on. It's easy money isn't it? We're always in huge credit and I really wonder if it's worth it for the convenience of DD and a slightly lower tarrif. |

I have gas and electricity from the same supplier. Both have gone up more than a 100% in the last year for the DDs. I'm seriously thinking of switching my power to ecopower providers - if I have to pay through the nose I'd rather it went to an ecologically sound and ethical supplier than these faceless holding companies! |

I ended up paying £90 a month for gas alone on Direct Debit as they said I owed them on my account. Kept saying it was wrong, but they were adamant they were right!! In the end I ended up getting a refund of over £500 that I have paid in excess. Just changed to a different provider to see if they are any better!! |

im with scottish power, on their *green * option, which is slightly higher, i pay 38-oo a month, and i was 261 in credit last bill, so im gonna leave that rolling over till after the winter bill, and if theres much left over ill ask for it back. i was having trouble with them for a while but all sorted now. |

We have gas & elecrticity from Powergen and were in credit in both. I asked for £90 back, and then more recently another £70. I was told that I will need to increase my direct debit so better to leave the account in credit, can't see the logic here as we are always in credit and consumption will reduce soon as Adam in off to uni. Why should they have my money?? |

I'm with Scottish Power as well and just recently got my annual bill come in because I pay by power cards it just normally says nothing to pay this time round though its says I owe them for £169 because of price increases! I'm mad cause I just recentely changed back to them because they promised lower prices and kind of hinted that the meter belonged to them and if I didn't change back they could either take it or charge rent for it. boys mum what is the green option - I haven't heard about this? |
