Re: Please keep your fingers crossed!!
Well, Tom was wonderful with them, I have never seen him so affectionate around new people (in the beginning, no one saw him cos he used to hide under the duvet - it even took the rescue lady months to see him again, as she normally had food or litter with her, and the noise scared him!!). They said they wanted to go away and think about it, and have e-mailed today to say they are still weighing up all their options, and want to see the other cats in the rescue (as htey did want a pair - we do have a female that may be good with Tom though) before deciding what they are giong to do with him - which will be SAt at the earliest, as the one they are interested in is being spayed today. I am trying to be optimistic, but failing!! If they dont have him, I dont quite know what we are going to do, his spraying is getting a bit excessive at the moment, he spent the day at the vets on Fri, and they could'nt find any signs of cystitis in his urine sample, so it is seeming like it is stress related, so he obviously doesn't like either Tiger or the cage - but to be honest, even if she magically got homed (and her chances are prob as slim as his) and his spraying calmed down (I do have Feliway on order though, might be here tonight), he still couldn't stay with me forever cos of his penchant for chasing/having stand offs with the neighbours cats - esp as some of them happen between 7 and 8am, I dont appreciate it, so am fairly certain the poor neighbours dont either.
